The first Court of the Ladies’ Oriental Shrine of North America (LOSNA) was founded in Wheeling, WV in 1903. Soon, more Courts would be formed across North America, all continuing to support the Nobles with their Shrine activities but also conducting their own affairs, all for the benefit of the children of Shriners Medical Centers. The Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America is it's own distinct order and functions under the leadership of our Grand Council.
Jobel Court No. 11 was instituted on October 19, 1920. We meet the 2nd Thursday of each month, except July and August at the Jaffa Shrine Center in Altoona, PA. We work on various projects to support the Shrine Medical Centers specifically the Centers in Erie and Philadelphia, PA and Cincinnati, OH. We have several fun and interesting fundraisers through the year that includes homemade peanut brittle and apple dumplings, a basket bingo and several others. Do you have ideas? Why not join us and share your ideas?
The Ladies of Jobel Court No. 11 also have a group of Ladies, The Sewing Club, who meet monthly to make Raggedy Ann and Andy Dolls to send to Philadelphia and Erie Medical Centers. The dolls are given to children so that they are never alone during their stay. The dolls go home with the children to be their life-long friend. Jobel Court No. 11 is also planning a parade unit, The Jobel Jewlz.
